Strategic Projects

Structure, review and guide complex initiatives.

Project Planning

A successful project begins with careful planning. First, the objectives must be clearly defined. The project is then structured and the key deliverables are developed. Finally, the tasks and workstreams required to deliver them are planned.

Yet things often turn out differently. Projects fall behind schedule, budgets are exceeded and motivation suffers. An independent perspective creates clarity and shows how a project can be brought back on track.

Questions we can help you address include:

  • How should we approach planning this demanding and complex project?
  • Which tools should we use for project planning?
  • Which dimensions do we need to consider when planning the project?
  • What does an effective project organization require?
  • How should we set up project controlling for this important project?
  • We are six months into the project and it is at risk of failing. How can we rescue it?

Project Support

Careful project planning is a prerequisite, but not a guarantee, for successful delivery. Equally important are robust project controlling and active project support. The project steering committee is particularly important as the project’s highest governance body and is ultimately responsible for successful delivery.

Questions we can help you address include:

  • What does an effective project organization require?
  • How should we set up project controlling for this important project?
  • Do we have the time capacity and expertise required for professional project support?
  • How can we identify project risks at an early stage?
  • What are the critical success factors for successful project delivery?

Independent Project Planning and Project Reviews

Projects often do not go according to plan. We know this from our own experience. In the process, we have learned which factors are critical to project success. If questions arise in your projects — whether about how best to structure and plan a project or how to bring it back on track — an independent project review creates clarity.

Participation on Project Steering Committees

The project steering committee is the highest governance body and is ultimately responsible for successful project delivery. Do you need additional capacity and expertise on your project steering committee, or an independent assessment during the life of the project? We can take on this role.

Board of Directors / Advisory Board

Do you need additional capacity on your board of directors? If your requirements match our expertise, we can take on this long-term role. The prerequisite is that we clearly understand and align mutual expectations.
